Day01

Flight to Yerevan

Arrival and hotel accommodation

Arrival in Yerevan. Transfer to the hotel and accommodation.

Use your free time to visit the Vernissage Market in the city centre—an open-air arts-and-crafts bazaar that operates at weekends. Here you can discover souvenirs, paintings, sculptures, traditional carpets, rugs and other handmade pieces.

Overnight in Yerevan.

Yerevan City Tour

Museums, vishaps and rock carvings

  • National History Museum: stone dragons (vishaps) and rock carvings.
  • Vishapakar near the Government House.
  • “Stone dragons” near Poplavok Lake.
  • Rock carvings near Yerevan State University.
  • Erebuni Museum.
  • Rock carvings near the statue of the hero Torq Angegh.
Day03

Yerevan – Zovuni – Agarak – Voskehat – Oshakan – Yerevan

Bronze Age settlements and rock art

  • Vishapakar near the Yerevan Institute of Physics.
  • Zovuni: fortress, cuneiform inscription and rock carvings.
  • Agarak: astronomical complex, tombs and rock carvings.
  • Rock carvings near Voskehat village.
  • Oshakan: Mesrop Mashtots's tomb, fortress, rock carvings and vishap.
  • Return to Yerevan.

Geghama Mountain Range

Rock carvings from the 7th–3rd millennia BC and high-mountain lakes

  • Cyclopean fortress near Sevaberd village.
  • Rock-art area.
  • Sevaberd village.
  • Sightseeing tour around Mount Hatis.
  • Return to Yerevan.
Day05

Sardarapat – Armavir – Metsamor – Etchmiadzin – Zvartnots

  • Ethnographic Museum of Armenia in Sardarapat.
  • Armavir: hieroglyphs, inscriptions and ruins of the fortress and temple.
  • Metsamor Museum and archaeological site: ancient astronomy, metallurgy, vishaps and phalluses.
  • Etchmiadzin Cathedral.
  • Zvartnots Temple, dating from the 7th century.
  • Return to Yerevan.

Khor Virap – Noravank – Zorakar – Syunik – Khndzoresk – Sevan Basin

Salve, siamo 4 amiche da poco rientrate da un bellissimo viaggio in Georgia e Armenia organizzato interamente da Levontravel, che dire, ottima agenzia situata proprio nel centro di Yerevan difronte all’hotel dove abbiamo alloggiato, di entrambi i paesi ottime le guide molto preparate e parlanti perfettamente italiano, ottimi gli autisti sempre pronti ad accontentarci alle nostre richieste, ottimi i mezzi su cui viaggiavamo ( con acqua sempre fresca a disposizione), ottimi gli hotel, abbiamo mangiato benissimo ( troppo), quindi grazie a questi 2 splendidi paesi di cui conoscevamo ben poco. Un ringraziamento perticolare va però a ELINA il nostro contatto di Levontravel sempre a disposizione, sempre pronta a rispondere ai nostri dubbi, prima, durante e dopo il nostro viaggio ( praticamente anche di notte) Grazie di cuore Elina sei stata molto importante per noi e grazie Levontravel.
