Performance and Drone Show in Yerevan Sky
This year, the ceremony was huge. Yerevan officially stepped into the festive season on December 14, when the lights of the city’s Main Christmas Tree were switched on. It was a grand celebration at Republic Square. The event drew a huge crowd, as residents and visitors gathered to witness one of the most anticipated moments of the winter season.
One of the highlights was a spectacular drone light show, painting the night sky above Yerevan with festive symbols and shimmering animations. Albert, Armenia’s representative at the Junior Eurovision Song Contest 2025, took the stage to perform his song “Brave Heart”, receiving a warm response from the audience.
As the Yerevan Christmas Tree lit up Republic Square, cheers filled the air, marking the official start of Yerevan’s holiday celebrations.
The Christmas Market opened in Shahumyan Park, near Republic Square. The market will welcome visitors until January 14, offering festive stalls, seasonal treats, and holiday atmosphere.
The celebration concluded with a stunning fireworks display, lighting up the city skyline and leaving Yerevan glowing with Christmas spirit.
Christmas Tree in Paris

Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree
The Rockefeller Center Christmas Tree in New York City is one of the most beloved holiday traditions. Every year since the 1930s, a towering Norway spruce has been selected, decorated, and celebrated as a symbol of the holiday season in the heart of Manhattan.
For 2025, a majestic 75-foot Norway spruce from East Greenbush was chosen and transported roughly 130–150 miles to 30 Rockefeller Plaza. It has over 50,000 multicolored LED lights. A dazzling Swarovski crystal star is on top.

Rio de Janeiro Christmas Tree

Prague Christmas Tree
The opening of the Christmas Tree also brought together hundreds of people to Prague’s Old Town Square.
Each year, as winter approaches, the historic square transforms into a festive wonderland. The tree glows with nearly nine kilometers of LED lights, 342 classic ornaments, and 25 illuminated spheres.

Sydney Christmas Tree

The tree itself is the tallest in New South Wales. It rises about 24 meters tall and has more than 110,000 LED lights, a 3.4-metre colour-changing star.
It is located in Martin Place, a lively pedestrian mall surrounded by green leafy trees and city life.
