Yerevan

Yerevan is an old city (older even than Rome) and it bears the mixture of old and new architecture. There is so much to see and do in Armenia that people get lost trying to visit all the sightseeing in Armenia, so we decided to represent to you a small guide for a Yerevan city tour.

Republic Square is the most popular place for Armenians especially after the Armenian Velvet Revolution which took place right in the Republic Square. This wonderful square is surrounded by 7 fantastic buildings on different streets. Do not forget to admire the singing fountains as well.

Cascade Complex is a very popular place in Yerevan. The Cafesjian Center for arts is situated right in this complex. Besides that, you can admire Yerevan from the height of Cascade, as there are many impressive and unique artworks while walking towards the complex.

France Square Yerevan is famous for Yerevan Opera House and the monuments of prominent Armenians Tumanyan and Spendaryan. The full name of Yerevan Opera House is Armenian National Academic Theatre of Opera and Ballet named after Alexander Spendiaryan in Yerevan which was officially opened on 20 January 1933. It is interesting to mention that the construction took 20 years.

Charles Aznavour Square known among Armenians for hosting Moscow Cinema House was designed in 1924. There are many interesting monuments like a fountain with the zodiac sign, luxurious hotels, a very big chess board (323 sq ft) different big animals made out of metals and so on.

Yerevan Red Bus City Tour

Yerevan City tour by Yerevan red Bus is a real fun. It has 8 stops at city attractions. These buses have audio-system with six different languages and you can choose the language you like.

Salve, siamo 4 amiche da poco rientrate da un bellissimo viaggio in Georgia e Armenia organizzato interamente da Levontravel, che dire, ottima agenzia situata proprio nel centro di Yerevan difronte all’hotel dove abbiamo alloggiato, di entrambi i paesi ottime le guide molto preparate e parlanti perfettamente italiano, ottimi gli autisti sempre pronti ad accontentarci alle nostre richieste, ottimi i mezzi su cui viaggiavamo ( con acqua sempre fresca a disposizione), ottimi gli hotel, abbiamo mangiato benissimo ( troppo), quindi grazie a questi 2 splendidi paesi di cui conoscevamo ben poco. Un ringraziamento perticolare va però a ELINA il nostro contatto di Levontravel sempre a disposizione, sempre pronta a rispondere ai nostri dubbi, prima, durante e dopo il nostro viaggio ( praticamente anche di notte) Grazie di cuore Elina sei stata molto importante per noi e grazie Levontravel.
