Where the Armenian Passport Stands
When looking at global rankings, the Armenian passport sits in the middle tier. Of course, there is room for growth.
According to the Index, in 2026, the Armenian passport ranks around 69th in the world, giving its holders access to 64 destinations without a prior visa.
Where Armenians Can Travel Easily
Armenian citizens can travel without a visa to CIS or post-Soviet countries, including Russia, neighboring Georgia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and others. The exception is Turkmenistan and the Baltic states, which are part of the EU.
There are several countries in South America, including Argentina, Brazil, Uruguay, and Ecuador, with no visa requirements for Armenia. The same is relevant for the Middle Eastern countries, including Iran, the UAE, Lebanon, and Jordan.
