Events to Attend in Armenia this Autumn? 2025 Edition

Summer usually gets more attention from tourists. However, autumn is a season full of energy.

In addition to good weather (up to the end of October), it’s a time when the country reveals a different charm, which is both cozy and vibrant. Beyond sightseeing and exploring historical landmarks framed by colorful landscapes, this is the time when Armenia continues hosting interesting events

The Areni Wine Festival, perhaps the most famous, invites visitors to taste the best of Armenian winemaking while enjoying folk music and village hospitality. For a completely different experience, the Armenia Air Fest fills the skies with paragliders and hot air balloons.

Fun in Armenia doesn’t end with summer, and it only gets richer. This blog will uncover some events to attend in Armenia this autumn.

Harvest Fest

Autumn is associated with crops. It’s especially true for Armenia, where autumn is the season of fruits and vegetables. Grapes, pears, and figs are in every fruit and vegetable store.

It’s also time for one of the most heartwarming events, the Festival of Rural Life and Traditions. This year marks the 12th edition, and it’s shaping up to be as vibrant as ever.

The event takes place on September 6-7 in the village of Dzoraghbyur on the outskirts of the capital city. More than 200 farmers, producers, and artisans gather to share their harvests, crafts, and culinary skills. Besides organic fruits and vegetables, there are homemade preserves, cheeses, traditional dishes, and handmade goods.

But it’s not just about tasting and shopping. Folk music, cultural performances, kids’ entertainment, and even an awards ceremony for the best participants are on the agenda.

Armenia Air Fest in Yeghvard

As autumn starts, the airspace in Yeghvard, a town just a 30-minute drive from Yerevan downtown, is thrown open for its most exciting day, Armenia Air Fest on September 20.

On this day, the skies burst with color while the ground was filled with joyful buzz that only a festival can bring. Here you can find airplanes, paragliders, helicopters, and hot air balloons.

It’s the perfect all-ages event: kids under 7 go free, and everyone else jumps in via EasyWallet for pocket-friendly tickets. It’s not just about watching things fly. There is also music, food stalls, interactive exhibitions, pilot meet and greets, and plenty of surprises to have a perfect day full of adventures.

Air Fest VI celebrates and supports the growth of small aviation in Armenia. This year, kit we will also host leading aviation experts who will share their experience and inspire future professionals.

Areni Wine Festival

If you’ve heard of Yerevan Wine Days in early June, you already know how much Armenians love to celebrate winemaking culture.

However, autumn has its own star, and it is the Areni Wine Festival, held every October in the little village of Areni, the heart of Armenia’s wine industry.

Areni is not just a village or the name of a wine factory. This village, located among red rock cliffs and vineyard slopes, is where archaeologists found one of the world’s oldest known wineries. It’s a place where wine isn’t just a drink, but part of daily life and heritage.

The festival itself is as much about community as it is about wine. Dozens of local producers bring their best vintages. Folk music fills the air, and the streets turn into a lively open-air feast with barbecues, cheeses, sweets, and dancing. For anyone visiting Armenia in the fall, Areni offers a perfect mix of tradition and warm hospitality.

Discover Armenia from the Sky

Autumn in Armenia is already breathtaking, but a view from above is always better. That’s exactly why the extreme lovers have to attend the “Discover Armenia from the Sky” International Balloon Festival.

From October 11–15, 2025, Skyball, a ballooning company, will once again fill the skies with around 20 hot air balloons from Armenia and abroad. Even if you don’t hop in a basket yourself, watching the balloons rise together at sunrise or drift across Armenia’s valleys is pure magic.

The festival takes place across scenic spots around the country, offering plenty of chances for unforgettable photos of natural landscapes, ancient temples, and friends standing with you in the basket.

DigiTec Tech Expo

When talking about events to attend in Armenia this autumn, the first that come to mind are the harvest and wine festivals. But Armenia’s calendar isn’t only about culture and food, it’s about innovation as well.

Standing apart from the seasonal festivities is the DigTec Tech Expo, the country’s largest annual technology expo. This year, it is the 20th edition of the event.

Held every fall in Yerevan, Digitec brings together the best of Armenia’s fast-growing IT sector. Ther,e visitors can find cutting-edge products, groundbreaking startups, and other ideas. From robotics and AI to fintech and engineering solutions, the expo shows Armenia’s tech innovation.

There are usually many different booths with interactive activities. You may think it’s only for tech people, but the expo usually draws many children and people who are not that close to tech, thanks to its friendly and open atmosphere.
